Invitation Information
- Be sure to send out your invitations at least 2 weeks before the party date.
- Give directions with invitation if the party place is hard to find.
- List special notes with the invitation (bring cars, sleeping bag etc.)
Cars Decoration Ideas
Low budget ideas for your Cars theme:
- Wall Decor You Color:
Have an artist in the family? Draw and color cars to decorate your walls with. Trim with scissors to make it more favorful.
- Streamers
Always a great idea, purchase streamers in black and white and/or gray to fit the Cars birthday theme.
Activity Ideas
- Look for coloring books in this theme.
- Pin muffler on the car, can you draw? Make a car without the muffler and kids can have fun.
- Car Race: Use hotwheel type cars to race, the one to the finish line first wins (can use downhill type racing so kids don't have to run).
- Scavenger Hunt: Find the car.
- Egg in Spoon Race
Make a start and finish line, first one there wins.
- Water Balloon Toss
Team who tosses the most without popping or dropping wins.
- Spooning Cotton Balls
Two bowls & blind fold, each child spoons cotton balls or marshmallows from one bowl to the other in one minute, the one who does the most wins.
- Balloon Pop
Each kid gets a balloon to sit on, first one popped wins.
Movies
- If the cars movie isn't on video yet, be sure to get related car themed movies. Ask your local video store for help or search online at places like Blockbuster for ideas. This helps to pass the time.
Snacks, Cake & Foods
- Create a cars cake, see cake pan to the right of this page. Add eyes for the windshield and you have a great cars cake.
- Sugar Cookies decorated in shapes of cars, don't forget the eyes.
- Rice Crispies in the shape of steering wheels, cars etc. Easy to make shapes, use other candies to help decorate if needed like M&Ms, licorice etc.
- Fruit Snacks: many come in themes like cars.
