Luau Kids Party Idea
Start your Hawaiian birthday with lots of fun great for young kids and teens. Luau parties have been popular for years and now you can share in the fun with your family and friends.
Invitation Ideas
Be sure to send your invitations out at least two weeks before the party so those who have to work can find time off to attend.
- Construction paper always makes a great invitation. Purchase envelopes and cut a background out of paper to fit in that envelope. Next cut out shapes like palm trees to place on the invitation with your special "come to our party" words.
- Confetti is also available at party stores, add a few pieces of shaped luau styles to each for a fun additive.
- Postcards also make great invitations.
Luau Decoration Ideas
For easy decorating, we suggest using a store listed to the right, this allows for quick and easy shopping for the busy parent from luau plates, to napkins, leis, hula skirts and much more.
- Use Poster Board and Paints or Markers... This idea will help with easy decorating for your party. All you need to do is draw Luau flowers and leaves as well as hula girls etc. to place on your walls.
- We always like to stress that decorating in this theme's colors with streamer will help easily fill a room for just about a $1 a roll. Greens and oranges, yellows and pinks are all favorites.
- Our party store to the right (makes parties) has nice luau scenes in the luau section for full wall decor.
- Decorate with toys around the room from crabs, to toy fish, you can place them in sand like settings if sand is available around the room.
- Torches... This idea needs some empty wrapping paper rolls with red construction paper. Cut out flames and roll your paper into a circle and place inside the top of the roll with glue. Add some brown or yellow construction paper just outside on the top to look like a torch.
- Hang Leis around the room for decoration.
- Purchase mylar balloons in with Luau designs.
Luau Party Craft Ideas
- Make your own grass skirts... Take construction paper that is easily bent and make a craft out of it for the younger kids. Cut slits at the bottom of the green paper sheets and glue them together and wrap around the waste for hula skirt fun. You can also decorate them with glitter for even more fun.
- Take green trash bags and cut slits for grass skirts.
