Decoration Ideas
- Color your own designs as wall decorations, you can use paper, poster board etc. Great for when party supplies are not available. Make a Blow Horn, Pom Poms or cheerleaders.
- Streamer in matching theme colors are a plus. Take two colors and twist them together for a more fun look.
- Lots of balloons, look for this theme at your local party store, hang around the room in bunches of three, tie some to the mailbox to show guests just where the party is located.
- Wall Decorations for pictures - should you be extra crafty, purchase a load of construction paper, poster board etc. and make an entire wall decor for taking pictures in front of.
- Decorate wall with enlarge pictures of the child if they are a cheerleader.
- Find posters and prints to place on the wall, decorate the room with pom poms etc., pompoms can be found around $2 a set for cheap at Target, Walmart etc. Be sure to have a set for every girl, makes a great favor as well.
Activity Party Ideas
- Pin the fun on. You can pin the pompom on the cheerleader's hand, get an artist in the family and/or find a picture to enlarge.
- Cheer word scramble, take words that go with cheerleading and mix them up, the one who gets the most in a minute wins. Example: Cheer = rhcee
- Egg in Spoon Race
Make a start and finish line, first one there wins.
- Water Balloon Toss
Team who tosses the most without popping or dropping wins.
- Spooning Cotton Balls
Two bowls & blind fold, each child spoons cotton balls or marshmallows from one bowl to the other in one minute, the one who does the most wins.
- Balloon Pop
Each kid gets a balloon to sit on, first one popped wins.
- Beauty Dress UP - Young girls will love to dress up as cheerleaders, or like older ladies, break out the dress up clothing that can be found at 2nd hand stores, be sure to wash them first, makeup is an added fun for kids, let them place it on a friend.
- Scavenger hunt, hide related themed items around the home inside and out and make clues to find the items. Included could be pompoms, footballs, jerseys, shoes etc.
Movies
- There are several cheer movies out, ask your local video store for ones around the age of the child.
Foods
- Look for cake top decorations & cupcake liners in our cake section for your party theme. If one isn't available, decorate your cake with barbie dressed as a cheerleader, pictures of your child glued to popcicle sticks, make mini pom poms with frosting etc.
- Rice Crispies or cookies in the shape of pompoms, skirts etc., you can decorate with frosting as well for a better effect.
- Pizza with pepperoni in the shape of a crown. If you make your own pizza you can shape the dough into a megaphone, skirt etc. and top with toppings to decorate.
- Fruit cups for healthy eaters, chips, dip, veggies, candy.
Favors

Don't Forget Your Camera
Don't forget your cameras. This includes your video camera if available. Another fun idea would be to hand disposable cameras to several guests so that they can take pictures from their view through the party.
