Monster Party Decoration Ideas
- If you can't find your theme, be sure to match plates, cups etc. to the colors of the characters which can include blues, purples and greens.
- Color your own designs as wall decorations, you can use paper, poster board etc. Great for when party supplies are not available. Make your own monster to go with the themed, then you don't have to make it look exactly the same.
- Streamer in matching theme colors are a plus. Take two colors and twist them together for a more fun look. For Monsters Incli would use lime green and baby blue to match the main characters.

- Lots of balloons, look for your Monster party theme at your local party store, hang around the room in bunches of three, plain colors that match are fine, tie one to the mailbox to show guests just where the party is located.
- Wall Decorations for pictures - should you be extra crafty, purchase a load of construction paper, poster board etc. and make an entire wall decor for taking pictures in front of. You can also print pictures of Monsters Inc. from your computer to place on the wall.

- Monster toys can decorate the party tables and large stuffed animals can be placed around the room.

Monster Activity Party Ideas
- Coloring Books of Monsters, for small kids, finding your Monster theme or related characters in a color books will bring lots of coloring fun.
- Pin the eye on the monster. It requires an artist and poster board to draw your creation. Cut out eyes and put double sided sticky tape for easy sticking. Watch for cheaters!
- Pinatas come in both hit pinatas and pull string for those who don't want to use hitting.
- Cherades
- Related Word Scramble (make your own)
- Monster egg race, make a start and finish line, first one there wins.
- Water Balloon Toss
Team who tosses the most without popping or dropping wins.
- Spooning Cotton Balls
Two bowls & blind fold, each child spoons cotton balls or marshmallows from one bowl to the other in one minute, the one who does the most wins.
- Balloon Pop
Each kid gets a balloon to sit on, first one popped wins.

Monster movie or cartoon

Party Foods
- If cake supplies aren't available in our cake section for this theme, some local companies allow photos or pictures to be created into edible cake tops. So check with your local grocery store or bakery. You can also place small Monsters Inc. toys on top of cakes as toppers.
- Rice Crispies in the shape of related characters, you can decorate with frosting as well for a better effect. They are easy to mold into your favorite shapes.
- Snack "monster" Mix, find the most ugly, yet tasteful snacks and tell the kids that this is what monsters eat. I would suggest gummy worms, sour candies and colorful m&ms.
- Pizza & Chips, Gummi Fruit Snacks, bowls filled with candy
- Green Punch is always a pleaser, call it monster punch. Use sodas like Mountain Dew with bold colors and add ice cream to the punch bowl. You can also purchase plastic toy eyes at the party store and freeze them in ice cubes for the punch bowl. Make sure small kids aren't playing with small toys.

Monster Party Favors
- We have fun favors that may help with your theme at our store My Candybar Wrappers as well as invitations.

Don't Forget Your Camera
Don't forget your cameras. This includes your video camera if available. Another fun idea would be to hand disposable cameras to several guests so that they can take pictures from their view through the party.
