Baby's Bib Birthday Party is provided by our friends at http://www.bettycrocker.com
Birthday number one is one to treasure! That's why the food in this menu is geared for easy preparation with all-family appetite appeal. That leaves lots of time for you to spend with baby and capture each important moment on film! Happy First Birthday!
Make It Special!
First Birthday Decorations
Purchase an inexpensive plain sheet to use for a tablecloth. Decorate it with a baby's handprint rubber stamp and fabric stamp pad. Ask guests to autograph the sheet with a fabric marker. The tablecloth becomes your keepsake.
Use baby washcloths for napkins. Wrap them around silverware, and tie with baby shoelaces or ribbons.
Bring on the baby balloons. Ordering balloons from a party store can eliminate last-minute inflating and leave more time to enjoy with baby.
Capture the activities on film. If you know a trusted camera person, assign the pleasure to him or her.
Purchase paper goods at a party store so cleanup is a snap!
First Birthday Games
Many first birthdays center around baby, but if you love games, try one or both of these.
Play the "B" game: Adult guests and older children say an item to pack for baby's trip to the Bahamas. The trick is the word has to start with the letter "B." For example, bottle, blanket, bassinet, booties, bibs, booster chair, blocks, books, baby aspirin, baby shampoo, bear (as in teddy), bank (as in piggy), basket and bananas. If you laugh or you can't think of a word, you're out. Limit game players to 10 seconds to think of their words.
Baby Blankie Relay: Divide your group into two teams (make ages equal). Teams line up and take turns putting on a large pair of socks, carrying a blanket to a designated spot, picking up a stuffed toy and taking it to the next person in line. Repeat for additional fun!
