Get Your Invitations On Time
- Be sure to order invitations early enough for your party, it is best to make sure the guest knows a month in advance, but no less than two weeks in order to get time off of work or family gatherings.
- For a personal touch, you can purchase Chipmunks Party Invitations and Chipmunks Candy Wrappers.
- If making your own invitations, we would suggest using a thick cardstock or construction paper and decorate the front with pictures you print from the internet, just glue and stick. Write inside your information from date, time, how long the party will be, if gifts are not required etc.
Party Ideas & Decorations
Do it yourself wall decorations are a great way to save money. Here are some ideas:
- You can find Free Printable Coloring Pages online and print them using your own computer and printer.
- With poster board and markers or crayons, you can create wall decorations to go around the room. Some suggestions of pictures would be Simon's glasses, Alvin's shirt with the A and fast food for Theodore.
- Purchasing posters of Alvin and the Chipmunks and placing them around the room makes great room filler.
- Print pictures of Alvin and the Chipmunks from Google Images can go great on the walls.
- Streamers make great room fillers for your party. They are not only cheap in cost, but they come in all the colors you need like red and yellow for Alvin's shirt, or blue and green for Simon and Theo's shirts. Just twist two colors together and hang from corner to corner. You can also bring them from the corner to the middle of the room to meet. Then hang balloons or small pictures of Alvin and the Chipmunks from the center of the room.
- If this theme is not available for purchase, you can get the correct colors by selecting color party ware. Pick red, yellow, blue and green to fit your scheme.
- Balloons are cheap party fillers. Place bunches of 3 in corners of the room and on the party table. Look for Alvin themes or pick their party colors.
Party Activities
- Coloring books also make great party favors. By allowing kids to color, you have a down time activity for when calming time is needed.
- Everyone loves Pin the Tail on the Donkey, in this version you will be pinning the Chipmunk item on the picture. You can buy posters of Alvin and the Chipmunks or make your own with poster board and markers, you can draw a t-shirt and a letter A to pin the A on the t-shirt. You can choose anything for pinning, if you use a poster, just pin the mic in Alvin's hand etc. Draw the microphone with poster board, use double sided tape for the back of the pinning item.
- Where's Alvin scavenger hunt. Give the kids a list to go together through the house or backyard to find Alvin the toy, stuffed animal or picture. You can use things like skateboards, microphone in the yard etc. as markers.
- Musical chairs, use Alvin and the Chipmunks music to make the musical chair game.
- Chipmunk Dance, if you need time to put things together for the cake, have a dance for the kids, play the music and dance the day away. Find songs the kids know and they can sing along.
- Alivin Sing a long. Get a microphone and some Alvin music (most come with books with words) and the kids can sing along.
- Other basic game ideas would be: Cherades, egg in spoon races, water balloon toss, ballon pop (kids sit on balloons, first to pop wins).

Party Foods
- If Alvin cake toppers aren't currently available, you can always use small toys to top cakes, glue pictures of characters like simon back to back and stick on a straw etc. to stick in the cake or find a local store to make an edible cake top, just bring in a pictures and they can make an edible picture to put on your cake.
- Cupcakes are also great, everyone gets the same size of cake and you can decorate them easily with frosting, sprinkles and pictures of the characters glued to sticks placed in the top of the cupcake.
- Any kind of trail mix can be used as chipmonk feed.
- Rice crispy treats are always fun to make and eat.
- Pizza and chips with candy bowels.
- Fruit snacks are yummy and healthy.
- Finger sandwiches with chips for lunch parties.

- Look for personalized Hershey Bars to give out to guests.
- A great selection of favors would be small toy guitars, microphones, gummies, bubble gum, coloring books and crayons, Alvin CDs, Bouncy Balls.
