Thor Party Activities

• Create your own pin the tail game. With this game you will need the supplies: poster board, markers or crayons. When creating this Thor activity, what you need to do is draw Thor's helmet on the poster board and then an outline of the weapon. Use another poster board to make a weapon. Use a blindfold for each child, turn them around 3 times and let them try to pin a picture of Thors weapon that you made, on the outline you drew.
• Scavenger Hunt for the hammer of power. Make clues for this Thor activity on a page for the children to follow. Hide items from a Thor toy or a picture of Thor etc. in select spots and allow the children to find the hammer at the end.
• Basic Thor party activities for any part would be : Water balloon toss (two people per group toss balloons and back up 2 steps each time until one team is left), Egg in spoon race ( individual race of large spoon with raw egg, those who get to finish line first without dropping egg win).
• Dress as Thor. If you can afford the style, purchase helmets and hammers for the kids, this makes great fun for all.
• Make a fun Thor Birthday Party with a super hero theme. Let guests dress as their favorite super hero and have a super time.

Thor Party Decorations

• Thor party decorations can be found online or at a local party store.
• Make Thor placemats with printed pictures or ripped out color pages. Laminate to a placemat.
• Use poster board and markers/crayons to make hammers, lightning bolts and/or helmets to decorate the walls with. You can also search google images for picture of the Thor movie to print and place on your walls.
• Streamers in red, blue or yellow are perfect for decorating the room from corner to corner. They also make great room fillers. You can pull from corner to middle of room and hang balloons from the center.

Party Foods

• Rice crispy treats are fun to make and very easy to mold into shapes. Turn into hammers and lightning bolts. Frosting also holds well so color them for extra fun.
• Hammer Cookies or brownies. Bake sheet cookies (make sure they are thick/high) or brownies and cut into short rectangles and insert plastic sticks, skewers or pretzels. Frost with a lightening bolt and you have a yummy hammer.
• Pizza, decorate the center with peperoni in the shape of a lightening bolt.
• Thor needs golden apples, so a good sub would be caramel apples. You can also roll in yellow candy sprinkles. A good treat to send kids home with.

Thor Party Favors

• Super fun can be had with Thor coloring books. Look for them at stores like Walmart and Kmart.
• Thor hammers or hats from party store.
• Candy, any will do as Thor Favors, kids love gum, candy bracelets etc.
• Super fun bouncy balls or rubber bracelets
• Make a favor bag out of paper bags. Fold over and use a whole punch to add a ribbon for closure.
